Forms of Payment
I accept cash, check, and most major credit cards. In addition, many insurance plans cover acupuncture and under the Affordable Care Act acupuncture is recognized as part of essential health benefits. Before you are treated with acupuncture, I can verify your insurance for you. Just send me an email with your insurance information. I will get back to you the same day. You may be pleasantly surprised by the benefits you may already have! If you have insurance coverage for acupuncture, I will bill your insurance for you as part of my services.
If you do not have acupuncture insurance coverage, I offer discounted prepaid packages to those that are under-insured.

Services Offered: To promote the healing process, one or more of the following Oriental Medicine treatment strategies are employed during your session:
▪ Acupuncture: the insertion of very fine, sterile and single-use needles placed in specific acupuncture points to assist in re-balancing organ and bio-mechanical dis-harmonies.
▪ Moxibustion: mugworth is used to warm acupuncture points and accelerates the healing process.
▪ Herbal Therapy: prescription of herbal formulas consisting of 5-15 herbs that are individualized for each patient’s condition.
▪ Tuina/Acupressure: massaging techniques to activate channel and organ systems.
▪ Gwa Sha: rubbing of the skin with a jade tool to facilitate the circulation of blood.
▪ Cupping: glass or plastic cups create suction on the skin to increase circulation and release deep rooted lactic acid.
▪ Nutritional Counseling: specific foods can be added or avoided to help strengthening the body.
▪ Electrical Stimulation: acupuncture needles are inserted and then small alligator clips are placed on the needles. The small 9-volt battery operated machine is then turned on and micro-current stimulates the acupuncture point. E-stim reduces inflammation and releases endorphins. This is similar to the TENS unit that physical therapists use.
▪ Lifestyle Coaching: tips to help you live at your best!
